A fun place be!
Moulton Pre-school is a community run pre-school. We are a registered charity and we thrive thanks to the dedication of our paid staff and a committee of parent volunteers. Moulton Pre-school has been providing good quality pre-school education in a nurturing atmosphere in the village of Moulton for over 30 years.
We offer places for 36 children in any one session, in the lovely location of Moulton Village Hall and we have our own large, secure, outdoor play area. Please see our ofsted inpection reports. we are supported by our wonderful staff members, five qualified at degree level and all others to NVQ Level 3 or working towards degree level.
Funded places are available for all 3-4yr olds and now some 2yr-olds can also get free early education and childcare. Click here to find out if you may qualify for 2yr-old funding. We also accept 30 hours funding.
We also have lots of visits from people who help us in the community, like police, fire officers and nurses and, of course, important links to Moulton School with regular visits from the Reception Class teacher. Our Pre-schoolers also feed into many other schools in the area including Davenham CE, Kingsmead, St Bedes, Leftwich and Winsford Schools.
Parents of children who attend pre-school are encouraged to become actively involved by joining the committee. Many committee members even stay on to support the group for long after their children have moved on to "big" school.
Our Mission Statement
At Moulton Pre-School, we aim to ensure that all children are included treated and respected as individuals by offering a safe, stimulating and comfortable environment, whilst providing high quality of care and education. Our goal is to promote a healthy lifestyle by promoting exercise, nutritional knowledge and building a sound foundation for well-being. Staff members surround themselves and the children with fun and enjoyment ensuring each child has quality time and attention based on their own person interests and views. Our focus is developing children’s existing skills by building their knowledge using their interests, giving each child opportunities to engage in all aspects of play, sharing, learning and working together. We recognise that if children are happy, confident and well cared for they are more likely to progress and achieve a high standard of development. Children learn through play and we seek to provide the physical resources and emotional support to enable children to fulfil the foundation stage of the curriculum. Our objective is to provide all this and more in which the children can feel happy and at home to enable them to fulfil their individual potential.
