Organisation
The Pre-School is run by an elected Committee which ensures the major decisions are in the hands of the parents who use the group. The Committee is responsible for reviewing both policy and practice for the employment and appraisal of the supervising staff members; fixing and collecting fees and fund-raising to pay for pre-school’s activities.
Our Annual General Meeting, at which the Committee for the following year is elected, is held during the autumn term and parents will be informed in good time so they are able to attend. The Supervisor is in charge of the day-to-day running of the group.

A high Adult:Child ratio is essential in providing good quality Pre-School care. We therefore have a 1:8 ratio for children aged 3-5 years and a 1:4 ratio for children under the age of 3 years.
Staff attend regular meetings to undertake curriculum planning and discuss the Children's progress and any difficulties.
The Pre-School budget has an allocation for training costs and training is available through the Pre-school Learning Alliance (PLA) and other providers.
