Spring Term Newsletter 2015

The are a lots of things happening over the next few weeks so please get those diaries ready. A separate fundraising newsletter will follow shortly.

Leading up to Easter the children are looking at “People who help us”

We are looking at those people who help us stay healthy and safe to name but a few, we may even be having some visitors into preschool- some in uniform who knows when they are free. If there are any parents who have contacts for example with nurses, vets, dentists etc. please speak to a member of staff.

Week 3 Beginning 9th March

We will be looking at “People who help animals better” if the children would like to bring in a NAMED cuddly animal to take to Preschool vets that would be lovely.

Week 4 Beginning 16th March

This week we are looking at “people who help us stay safe & healthy” thinking about all the special people who look after us especially the importance of the 999 calls only to be made in an emergency!

Week 5 Beginning 23rd March

Moving on this week to all the “people who help us” by providing clothes to wear and food in the shops. Our shop this week is selling shoes so as many shoe boxes please any shape or size will be welcomed and OLD shoes to help stock the shop.

On Wednesday 25th March we have been invited to join “Little Gems” Easter celebrations this will be during the afternoon session.

Week 6 Beginning 30th March

Some Easter treats will be coming home this week.

A very interesting evening is on offer this week on Wednesday 1st April March @ 7 pm for 7.15pm start in the main room. An evening of fun and information on “Promoting positive behaviour” within early years.

In order for this evening to go ahead please indicate your interest to attend by either speaking to a supervisor on duty or email Gill: enquiry@moultonpre-school.org.uk

On Wednesday 29th April we will be holding a parents evening – 5.30 pm – 6.30 pm, this will be a great opportunity for you to speak to the staff or your child’s keyworker if you would prefer- if you would like an appointment please let Gill know and a time will be allocated.

About Pre School

Session Places

We offer places for 36 children in any one session, in the lovely location of St Stephens Church Hall and we have our own large, secure, outdoor play area. Please see our Ofsted inspection reports. we are supported by our wonderful staff members, five qualified at degree level and all others to NVQ Level 3 or working towards.

Funded Places

Funded places are available for all 3-4yr olds and now some 2yr-olds can also get funded childcare. To see if you qualify contact your nearest children's centre. We also accept 30 hours funding. 30 hours free childcare - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) Please follow the link to see if you qualify.

Educational Visits

We also have visits from people who help us in the community, like police, fire officers and nurses and have important links to Moulton primary School. Our Pre-schoolers also feed into many other schools in the area including Davenham CE, Kingsmead, and Winsford Schools.

Active Involvement

Parents of children who attend pre-school are encouraged to become actively involved by joining the committee. Many committee members even stay on to support the group for long after their children have moved on to "big" school.
